Why aren’t renewables scaling fast enough to meet demand?

To increase new utility-scale clean energy supply, a long-term electricity buyer is required for projects to secure financing. But there are very few commercial buyers with the capacity and risk appetite to make substantial long-term upfront commitments for clean energy.
