Clean Energy is a Big Deal for Your Biggest Customer
How the AREC Market Works
Zettawatts is creating a market for Additionality RECs - fixed-price forward contracts to buy unbundled RECs from new projects still under development.
How it Works For Corporate Buyers
Unbundled Additionality RECs (ARECs)
1
The forward commitment to purchase in advance of the commercial operation of new renewable projects.
The commitment is used as part of each project’s cash flow for Developers to secure financing for new clean energy development.
Additionality REC Purchase Offer
3
Based on your plan, submit an AREC purchase offer including your price per REC, vintage, volume and term for RECs from a new project.
Zettawatts agrees to sell ARECs to you at your fixed price over the term when the AREC Market finds a new project with RECs to sell.
AREC Planning
2
Use the Free AREC Planner to build a usage forecast and budget for a combination of 5 and 10 year ARECs. Include existing PPAs or VPPAs to cover 100% of your usage.
Build different budget scenarios by portfolio, geography, or division.
Monthly AREC Invoice
4
Once projects reach commercial operation, Zettawatts invoices you for actual generation at your guaranteed price.
Total volume delivered within each vintage year.
